Description
National Trade Tech’s Plumbing Technician program is a 150-clock-hour course preparing learners for entry-level plumbing service and installation support. The program can act as a pre-apprenticeship program. The curriculum covers safety, tools, measurement, plumbing drawings and code awareness, pipe materials and joining methods, water supply, drain-waste-vent systems, fixtures, gas-piping awareness, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and career readiness.
Instruction is delivered online through asynchronous lessons and virtual reality scenarios covering copper soldering, hand tools, faucet and toilet installation, and gas and electric water-heater troubleshooting.
The program is available in English and Spanish.
Each student receives a free laptop and virtual reality headset.
