Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic). 510904

Description

This EMT hybrid course prepares students to provide pre-hospital assessment and emergency care for patients of all ages experiencing medical and traumatic emergencies. Topics include EMS systems, EMT roles and responsibilities, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical and trauma emergencies, and patient transportation. Course taught by Northern Vermont Area Health Education Center (AHEC).

  • In-Person Skills Days: Saturdays, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9, 5/23, 6/6)

  • Must be 17 years old to enroll; 18 to take the NREMT exam

  • Must meet EMT functional job requirements

  • Strict attendance policy applies
