Job Description

At Abacus Automation, we design and build custom machines for a broad range of industries.  Each job brings new life and excitement to the floor.  Our Design team creates a machine using a CAD program and then watches the assemblers, electricians, and programmers bring their machine to life. 

Job Description:

• Create designs for automation and process equipment that meet customer specifications
• Review mechanical prints for accuracy prior to release for production
• Develop documentation manual for assigned projects
• Mindful of project timelines and budgets

Qualifications:

• Candidate is preferred to have at least an associate degree in mechanical engineering or 3 years experience as a machine designer
• Proficient with Solid Edge or Solid Works
• Ability to work as a team, with good communication skills, among fellow employees, as well as with customers

• Strong problem-solving with creative and critical thinking skills

• Strong attention to detail
