Job Description: Mount Snow Limited dba Mount Snow Resort is looking to fill Cook positions in West Dover, Vermont. This is a temporary full-time peakload position & we are looking to fill 12 job openings for employment from 11/19/2026 to 04/05/2027.
Duties: Responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to execute, prepare and ensure quality service in our culinary operations. Perform daily back of house culinary tasks to deliver excellent culinary service to resort guests, including but not limited to the following: Setting and stocking work stations as necessary; Preparing a wide variety of basic to complex menu items; and Assisting other cooks as needed.
Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cook or related occupation.
Terms & Conditions of Employment: At least $23.00/per hour to $36.53/per hour, at least 35hrs/wk, Sat-Fri, 8:00AM to 9:00PM (schedule, hours and shifts vary). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate of pay is at least $34.50/per hour to $54.80/per hour.
Transportation: From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse for transportation and subsistence (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed early, employer will reimburse or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
Tools, equipment & supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, & equipment required to perform the job.
Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due; The pay period is every two weeks; The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law; The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees including those mandated by the government incurred by the H-2B worker.
Optional housing may be available on a limited basis at a bi-weekly cost of $285.00 to $345.00 depending on the unit type, number of beds in the unit, and the number of people living in the unit. If housing is available, a license deposit of $250 is due prior to check-in. With employee’s voluntary consent, housing costs may be deducted from paycheck.
