Job Description
The Mount Abraham Unified School District is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute Library/Media Teacher to serve both Beeman Elementary and Monkton Central Schools from August 19, 2026 through the end of December 2026.
The successful candidate will foster a love of reading, support information literacy and digital citizenship, and collaborate with classroom teachers to enhance student learning through library and media resources.
The salary is $307.76 per day and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
Knowledge of library/media services, children's literature, educational technology, and information literacy practices.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to equitable access to learning resources and technology.
Must have, or eligible for Vermont educator licensure with School Librarian endorsement - At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
