The Research Nutrition Aide II acts as the assistant to the Bionutrition Research Manager in the Clinical Research Center for providing research-related nutrition care. Major duties include nutrition screening, menu planning, collection and analysis of dietary data, reinforcement of protocol compliance to volunteers, basic nutrition education, and completion of various office functions utilizing the computer. Requires sound judgement, initiative, and the ability to work independently. Work is performed in accordance with specific procedures, but incumbents must organize work, set priorities, and question and confirm the unordinary. This position is supported by extramural funding therefore is dependent on the availability of extramural funding in addition to performance
EDUCATION:
At least (a) an Associate’s degree in dietetics from an ACEND-accredited dietetic technician program, (b) two years of college course work in an ACEND-accredited didactic program or coordinated program in dietetics, or © commensurate and extensive experience in a research nutrition environment
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years food service experience
