Job Description
Head Start is a federally-funded, national child and family development program which provides comprehensive services for pregnant women, children from birth to age five, and their families. Services for children promote school readiness, and include early education, health, nutrition, mental health, and services for children with special needs. Services for parents promote family engagement, and include parent leadership and social service supports.
As a Head Start Toddler Teacher, you will serve as lead or co-teacher in an outcomes-oriented, team environment, and provide safe, healthy, friendly, and developmentally appropriate environments and experiences for infants and toddlers. Motivated Head Start teachers improve the trajectory of children’s lives, including children’s learning outcomes, living standards, and later academic and professional success. Hiring for Two Positions Starting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026
40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year. Rate of pay depends on qualifications. 60 working day probationary wage range is $23.73-$28.08/hour; hourly rate of pay after 60 working day probationary period ends ranges from $24.07-$28.76/hour.
