Job Description

Beta Technologies, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer in South Burlington, VT, to collaborate with product design to define key requirements to manufacture products. Communicate to the design team product feature improvements for better manufacturability, Design for Manufacturing (DFM). Develop and manage Process Failure Mode Effective Analysis (PFMEA) and mitigate those risks by developing and implementing an effective control plan. Validate process capability using Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (guage R&R) analysis and Process Capability Index (CpK). Conduct Time studies to measure throughput and identify improvement opportunities. Implement automated data collection, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and dashboards where necessary to develop and monitor key metrics of performance. Analyze manufacturing metrics and data to drive continuous improvement. Track component and assembly yield to improve supplier and manufacturing quality. Right size manufacturing processes as needed to optimize product flow and workstation utilization. Develop and update process documentation to accurately communicate the process for cross-functional teams.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus 5 years of experience.

Requires:

• 3 years of experience with Manufacturing Line Design.
• 5 years of experience with Manufacturing Process Development.
• 5 years of experience with installing and specifying automated equipment.
• 5 years of experience with Continuous Improvement Project Development.
• 5 years of experience with Project Management.
