Job Description

Buildings & General Service (BGS) is seeking a part-time Custodian II within the Operations & Management Division. This position will be responsible for the daily custodial duties at the CCV Building in Bennington, VT. The position will also work as part of a larger team that performs these duties at other state facilities within the greater Rutland Area. This position requires successful completion of multiple background checks, and a valid driver's license.

This is a part-time and temporary position and the hours between Monday through Friday. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work a week, and hours may vary.

BGS provides the facilities services required for all state agencies and departments to accomplish their mission. As part of the Operations and Maintenance Division you will be an essential team member and part of the largest division in BGS. 

Duties are performed during an assigned shift at one or more state owned or leased buildings. Cleaning work often involves addressing bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infections material. Incumbents must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Good physical condition and ability to climb ladders and lift weights of up to 50-lbs. is necessary. Overtime and evening work may be required.
