About Church Hill Landscapes: Nate Carr established Church Hill Landscapes in 2002 out of a deep-seated passion for landscaping and horticulture. As a graduate of the University of Vermont in 1997, his ambition has been to create diverse and beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces for clients across Vermont. We're a 25-30 person team of gardeners, lawn- and snow-care professionals, masons, and landscape designers who build and maintain creative landscapes for our customers. Join our team at Church Hill Landscapes, Inc. as a Landscape Construction Project Technician and play a pivotal role in our landscape construction projects. You will be working alongside a dedicated team, operating heavy machinery, and using power tools to bring our projects to life. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, where strength, stamina, and a commitment to quality and safety are key. We pride ourselves on our commitment to exceeding client expectations and maintaining a safe and efficient worksite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of landscape construction projects, including building, assembling, and planting.
  • Prepare job-sites prior to the beginning of a project.
  • Operate various tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required for projects.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly jobsite at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the landscape/construction industry.
  • Proficiency in operating required equipment and tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to receive training and learn proper installation techniques, efficient jobsite operations, and equipment/vehicle operation.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous tasks.

Compensation

Starting wage range for this position is $19-$25/hr, depending on experience
