As a graduate of the University of Vermont in 1997, his ambition has been to create diverse and beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces for clients across Vermont. We're a 22-30 person team of gardeners, masons, and landscape designers who build and maintain creative landscapes for our customers. Join our team as a Lawn Lead, a crucial role in our all-electric lawn maintenance division. Working under the Lawn Foreman, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty of various residential and commercial properties. You will operate outdoor power equipment, execute mowing visits, and gardening projects. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, engage with clients, and contribute to our goal of providing top-notch lawn care services.
Responsibilities- Perform high-quality lawn care services
- Review and execute job plans in coordination with the Lawn Foreman
- Communicate effectively with clients on-site
- Ensure safe and efficient work practices
- Operate various tools and equipment, including mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, etc.
- Assist the Lawn Foreman in meeting and exceeding crew production goals
- Conduct jobsite inspections and correct substandard acts or conditions
- Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment
- Ability to operate required equipment and tools safely and responsibly
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong time management skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices (preferred)
Starting wage for this position ranges from $24-$26/hr, depending on experience.
