Job Description
We are seeking a Part Time Front Desk person to join us at the Best Western Plus Windjammer Inn & Conference Center. Candidates must have strong customer service orientation and skills. The ability to present a professional image, and able to communicate well with both guests and employees.
We are looking for individuals with flexibility to work, day and evening shifts, weekdays AND weekends. Your schedule would include a mix of these days and times, averaging 15-20hours per week.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome, register and assign rooms to guests
- To be courteous and attentive at all times
- Expedite check in and check out
- Collect and report cash accurately
- Answer all phone and desk questions,
- Take all reservations
- Quote rates accurately and promote special packages
- Promote the restaurant and other hotel amenities
- Complete all necessary forms and reports--daily cash out sheets, front office daily reports, housekeeping reports and marketing information
- Greet groups, assign room blocks, bag keys, etc.
- Maintain a neat lobby and work area, as well as coffee bar and desk supplies
- Understand/work the phone and TDD systems
- Promote our rewards program, sign guests up for rewards, and recognize our rewards customers
- Drive shuttle van to and from hospital and airport on occasion
- Other tasks as needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Lifting up to approximately 50lbs of luggage
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalency
