Job Description

The Town of Springfield, VT is seeking an accomplished, collaborative, visionary leader to serve as our Planning and Zoning Administrator.

This position performs original composition of plans and regulations as well as technical, administrative and regulatory work related to the Town’s Planning, Zoning and Development review process and administration of local and state regulations. The Administrator is the principal staff person responsible for issuing zoning permits, assisting applicants with zoning permits, conducting enforcement actions, and providing official interpretations of the Town’s land use regulations. A great deal of time is spent working closely with the public, sometimes on controversial or sensitive matters. This position requires a great degree of tactful interpersonal skill and diplomacy along with strong professional and organizational skills.

This is an exempt, non-union, full-time position with competitive wages, a full benefits package and an excellent pension program.
