Job Description

SUMMARY The Rental Technician assists guests with finding and fitting ski and snowboard equipment. This position works with guests directly on a daily basis to provide the best customer experience possible while staying up to date with current trends in equipment technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)

WINTER-SPECIFIC:

• Techs work to ensure guest and/or rental equipment is repaired and tuned to optimum performance with strong consideration for safety standards.

• Techs must develop/maintain a savvy working knowledge of tuning equipment and repair techniques.

• Technicians maintain strong communication skills with all team members and guests.

• Examine the rental fleet for maintenance and repairs needed.

• Properly fit guests with ski/board.

• Determine appropriate gear for guest based on experience level.

• Stay educated on latest technology and trends in equipment technology.

• Participate in safety trainings.

• Listen and understand guest needs to provide exceptional guest service.

• Other duties as assigned, which could be directly related or unrelated to original position.

• Must possess a mature work ethic with timely and reliable attendance.

• Ability to lift awkward and moderately sized loads.

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

• Ability to work weekends and/or holidays as needed.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
