Job Description
OverviewThe Vermont Department of Labor is looking for an experienced individual to the join the Unemployment Insurance team. This position may include:
- Processing reports and payments related to unemployment taxes.
- Processing employer refunds.
- Making new employer unemployment tax liability determinations.
- Maintaining employer account records.
- Processing wage record data submitted by employers.
IMMEDIATE NEED: This position will assist in a special project that includes organizing and scanning employer files to prepare for our modernization project.
This position requires proficiency with technology and attention to detail.
Duties are performed predominately in an office setting. Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel when appropriate. Incumbents must be adaptable and able to work within tight time limits and under considerable stress. Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary.
