General Description
Provide pricing and lead times to customers and/or representatives using company guidelines in order to secure orders. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring orders are quoted, entered, and processed accurately while maintaining a high level of customer service. The Inside Sales Representative works closely with Engineers, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Business Development Managers to ensure customer requirements align with manufacturing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer and representative inquiries by providing pricing, lead times, and product information in accordance with company guidelines.
- Understand customer requirements, applications, and specifications to support accurate quoting and order entry.
- Prepare customer quotes and enter customer purchase orders into the system.
- Review customer purchase orders to ensure product, pricing, and delivery accuracy.
- Maintain visibility of orders throughout the quoting and production cycle and communicate status updates to customers.
- Route technically complex or advanced opportunities to Sales Engineers or Sales Management for further development and closure.
- Support channel partners by building relationships and assisting with pipeline development.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments including production, planning, quality, and engineering.
- Expedite orders as required and assist with resolving delivery or production issues.
- Gather information related to returns, rework, or restocking and coordinate resolution per company policy.
- Maintain accurate sales files, CRM data, and order documentation.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Comply with AS9100 directive specifically Section 7200, Customer Product Quality Requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of inside sales, sales support, or customer service experience.
- Strong communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP and CRM systems preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
