Job Description
OverviewVermont Forests, Parks and Recreation is seeking motivated individuals excited to work outside maintaining trails on state forests and parks across the state as part of the State Trail Crew.
Crew Members perform trail work in both backcountry and front country settings in a close-knit team of four Trail Crew Members. Work will be performed at Vermont State Parks and State Forests throughout Vermont. Duties and work projects are performed under the direction of the Trail Crew Leader with oversight by the District Trails Coordinator and/or District Recreation Representative, with the need for significant
independence interacting with the public while in the field.
FPR is recruiting Crew Members at two levels, a Crew Member I and a Crew Member II. Full details of each at the links that follow. The Crew Member II position is distinguished primarily by its oversight, trail building skills, and equipment operation duties.
