Job Description

We are seeking a skilled commercial pipe welder with proven experience in new commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding mostly carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum pipe. AWS or ASME welding certification is required. You must be able to work full time (40 hrs.) a week at project sites. Job specific responsibilities include:

• Perform pipe welding on commercial mechanical systems, including hydronic, steam, gas, and process piping
• Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications
• Set up, fit, tack and weld using mostly stick, but occasional tig and mig welding processes
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform work independently while meeting project schedules and quality expectations

The candidate must have a valid drivers license and ability to operate a company vehicle. The company will provide welding equipment and associated materials for all aspects of the work; the employee is responsible for their own hand tools and job requirements. This job requires project site welding which for some welding applications require the use of ladders, scaffolding, and electric lifts. Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work, in various welding positions as each job requires.
