Job Description
OverviewThe Agency of Transportation seeks a detail-oriented person to fill the position of Financial Manager I in the Accounts Receivable Unit. This position is responsible for overseeing and processing most of the Agency's Federal and Municipal billing.
Job duties include:
- Running queries of expenditure and revenue data.
- Creating/submitting billing requests in various Federal billing systems.
- Reviewing reimbursement contracts with municipalities to correctly set up AOT's STARS financial system to ensure proper billing.
- Working with representatives of various municipalities and Federal agencies to address billing issues.
- Prepare quarterly financial reports for Federal grants.
- Providing support for project setup in STARS and troubleshooting billing errors.
- Assisting with Federal billing audits by providing requested information.
- Providing backup for various other Accounts Receivable duties, as well as providing backup for the Unit supervisor.
Ideal candidates will possess thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, excellent computer skills, with the ability to learn multiple financial programs, as well as the ability to work well with numerous customers, including representatives of Vermont municipalities and various Federal agencies.
