Job Description
OverviewAs an HVAC Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the comfort and safety of our facilities. You'll perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a wide range of HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, heat pumps, and more.
If you have a strong background in HVAC repairs and maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various HVAC systems
- Identify and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime
- Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals
- Maintain accurate records and reports of maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations

Environmental FactorsWork is performed at State of Vermont and Federal National Guard facilities statewide. The incumbent often works near or with hazardous materials, including ammunition and high voltage. Work requires entering confined spaces, removing snow on runways and exposure to loud noises. An incumbent operates heavy equipment and possession of a Commercial Driver's License is required. An incumbent must be able to climb ladders and lift equipment and materials weighing as much as fifty pounds. Work is performed in all kinds of weather. Some work outside of normal duty hours will be required. Travel and overnight stays may be included.
