The Department of Forest, Parks and Recreation (FPR) is seeking a Grants Compliance Administrator. This position will be independently responsible for grant compliance and subrecipient monitoring of a grant portfolio upwards of $60M, while also contributing as an important member of our small grants administration team. The FPR Grants Team is part of the FPR Business Office and works closely with FPR Program Staff and some external partners.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in State and Federal grant compliance, proven financial and/or project management experience, robust familiarity with Microsoft Office systems, strong initiative and organizational skills, a positive professional approach, the ability to work in a dynamic environment, problem solving skills, and shares an interest in FPR's mission.

This position is required to report to their duty station 5 days a week, however, it is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement with the potential for approved (up to 2 days per week) of telework. Occasional travel for site visits may be required.

Primary Duties:
• Manage all single audit responsibilities.
• Responsible for desk reviews.
• Oversee all risk management protocols.
• Manage emergency and federal assistance programs.
• Assist in federal reporting and federal draw requests.
• Assist as needed on incoming and outgoing agreements and applications.
• Support incoming and outgoing grant team workflows as needed.
• Providing financial reports for department staff.
• Collaborating with colleagues and partners.
• Provide administrative and technical guidance and support for department staff including but not limited to state and federal grant procedures, administrative management of grant programs and other program areas, procurement procedures and related policies.
• Provide creative and innovative solutions to help implement and utilize effective systems.
• Work effectively and independently as part of a team with a service-oriented approach.
• Other duties as assigned by the position supervisor or Commissioner.
Duties are performed in a standard office setting but may involve some travel for which private means of transportation is required. Some evening or overtime work may be necessary. Interaction with grantees, contractors and consultants through phone contact is required.
