Job Description

The Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts Specialist to support the northwest region of the AOT Fleet at our Chimney Corners location. This position is responsible for managing stockrooms and maintaining accurate inventory of parts, materials, and supplies used in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and tools.
 
Key responsibilities include ordering, receiving, and issuing parts in compliance with Bulletin 3.5, as well as maintaining a computerized inventory system. The Parts Specialist also plays a key role in facility safety by ensuring up-to-date SDS sheets are on hand and conducting routine inspections of fire extinguishers.
 
This role may involve operating equipment such as forklifts, front-end loaders and includes providing training and guidance to other Agency staff.

This position is eligible for a sign-on and retention bonus of up to $2000! Newly hired CDL and non-CDL holders who are hired into permanent maintenance worker or mechanic job on or after July 13, 2025 are eligible. Incumbents must be able to lift and move heavy parts, equipment or supplies. Must be available to work necessary overtime to provide all supply room services during emergency or storm situations. Some fieldwork will be necessary to inspect outlying inventory locations. Private means of transportation may be necessary.
