Overview

This exciting position with the Family and Child Health Division at the Health Department seeks a program manager who will oversee the implementation and management of the Strong Families Vermont Family Support Home Visiting Program, which uses the internationally known evidence-based model, Parents as Teachers (PAT). This home visiting program is implemented as part of Children's Integrated Services and has case rate reimbursement from Vermont Medicaid.


This position will have oversight of all aspects of program development, training, implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance. Collaboration statewide will occur with local providers and leadership at state and national levels to support implementation and fidelity to the model to achieve outcomes of child and family health, optimal child development, positive parenting practices, school readiness, reduction of child maltreatment, and family economic self-sufficiency.

This position will work in person 3 days/week.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed in both a standard office and field settings. Private means of transportation must be available for required travel. Stress may be anticipated in dealing with emotional situations involving application of programs, especially in dealing with families and in the allocation of program resources.
