Job Description
Do you love working with your hands—tackling small construction projects, painting, and carpentry with pride? The Vermont Country Store is looking for a skilled and dependable Part-Time Maintenance Person to join our friendly retail team at our Rockingham store location.
As a key player on our team, you'll help us keep things running smoothly—ensuring our store and grounds remain safe, welcoming, and in top-notch condition for our customers and team alike.

This in-person position is based at our Rockingham store: 1292 Rockingham Rd, Bellows Falls, VT 05101
What You'll Be Doing:
- Address and resolve safety concerns as they arise
- Prep the store for seasonal changes—adjust clocks, light timers, outdoor furniture, and more
- Lend a hand at other store locations when needed
- Work with Team Leader to coordinate vendors and maintenance needs.
- Daily inspection and cleanup of the grounds
What You Bring to the Team:
- Previous experience in maintenance or facilities work preferred
- Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general building maintenance
- Ability to juggle tasks, work independently, and stay organized
- Flexibility to jump in where needed and follow direction with ease
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred
