Job Description
The Administrative Specialist plays a key role in the Real Estate Development Team. The Administrative Specialist provides support to the Project Manager, Capital Needs Specialist, and the Director of Real Estate Development in order to keep an active pipeline and maintain the capital projects of the property portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide project management support, including, but not limited to, document management, bidding support, financial tracking, and more, in conjunction with the finance department.

Schedule site visits related to funders, contractors, and consultants.

Represent RuralEdge in the community as an owner representative.

Attend departmental and project related meetings to assist the Development Team and keeping the team informed about projects and identify upcoming activities.

Assist the Development Team in payment applications, requisitions, and the tracking of sources and uses associated with development projects.

Provide clear, concise reporting for funders, project stakeholders, and company Board of Directors.

Assist with gathering and organizing due diligence work to support funding applications.

Assist with Requests for Proposals for contractors and consultants.

Assist with project tracking using existing templates and project management software with particular emphasis on using Excel.

Assist with environmental review work as needed.

Manage and track compliance tasks associated with the Universal Relocation Act, Section 3, Davis Bacon and other funder, State, or Federal requirements.

Assist with relocation services as needed.

Develop and maintain closing binders.

Historic document scanning and electronic file organization

Provide additional project support to other departments as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Degree in finance, accounting, or relevant experience required.

Understanding of budgeting, scheduling, financial modeling and project control principles and how they work together for a successful construction/rehabilitation project.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work independently and take initiative.
-
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on using Excel.

Ability to travel for job performance.
-
Possession of valid driver’s license, good driving record, and automobile with insurance.
Supervisory Requirements: None but will need to liaise with contractors/suppliers on development projects and also with tenants on relocation issues on a regular basis.
