Job Description

SUMMARY In order to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and manage guest expectations, a room attendant must be versatile. A room attendant's first responsibility is maintaining the guest rooms. The expectation is to have clean, fresh smelling rooms that appeal to all our guests.

Cleaning hotel rooms includes but is not limited to:

  • Cleaning kitchens, ovens, appliances, refrigerators, coffee makers, toasters
  • Doing dishes, cleaning out drawers etc.
  • Cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms, all surfaces and replacing amenities in rooms, floor cleaning is performed on hands and knees.
  • Proper training and a more indepth cleaning guide is provided by the housekeeping supervisory team
  • Housekeepers will be required to handle cleaning chemicals. Employees are instructed in safe handling of these chemicals and this policy will be strictly enforced.
  • All housekeepers must wear gloves at all times when cleaning. All PPE will be provided by the company
  • positions require that employees wear and maintain clean uniforms and name tags.
  • Must have a professional and courteous attitude towards guests, other employees and the general public at all times.
  • All resort housekeepers may be asked to work in the laundry room, as a steward, or work at the base lodge or mid burke at different times in the year.
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

All housekeepers must be able to perform the following in addition to cleaning:

  • Provide personalized, excellent customer service to all guests
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must be able to arrive to work on time and follow all attendance policies.
  • Use proper recycling techniques
