Job Description

Essential Functions:

positon can be based out of Williston,vt or Westfield,vt locations

Perform all tasks assigned by the Job Project Manager in an accurate and timely manner.

Perform all tasks required of a licensed electrician; be willing to take on new duties and responsibilities beyond what the job requires, upon approval by the Job Foreman.  

Follow the company’s safety policy at all times while on jobs. 

Understand the specific scope of work of assigned tasks; exhibit and apply electrical code knowledge. 

Identify and report to the Job Project Manager any electrical code violations or concerns that could affect the progress of a job within its time requirement.

  Coordinate work assignments; work with other company electricians to effectively complete tasks in a timely manner.  

Identify and report to the Job Project Manager any issues, errors, omissions, or problems immediately, so field adjustments can be made in a timely manner.

  

Set up machinery, ladders, or power tools needed at a job site.   

Ensure that a minimum amount of re-work is necessary on all jobs.  

Ensure that a job site area is cleaned and finished after the daily work has been done.  

Have the required tools and safety gear on hand at all times.  Bring tools home nightly.  

Obtain further education in electrical industry trends and best practices to enable personal growth within the company; successfully complete OSHA 10 safety training.  

Keep current on license maintenance, updates, or requirements for maintaining a license in multiple states.  

Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Management.

 

 

Education/Experience/Qualifications: 

Two (2) years of High School, High School graduate, or enrolled in a GED program.  

Experience as an electrician working in a commercial, industrial, or residential environment.

 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities/Other:  

Critical thinking skills and trouble-shooting abilities.  

Able to identify colored wiring.  

Excellent manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

§   

Ability to safely and comfortably work at heights using a ladder and commercial lifts.

§   

Excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.

§   

Strong organizational skills.

§   

Ability to focus on tasks without distraction from construction noise.

§   

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

§   

Must maintain a neat and clean, professional appearance that is safe and appropriate for a construction environment and that presents an acceptable company presence on the jobsite and for interacting with staff, vendors, customers, and the general public.

 

 

Physical Demands:

§   

Work consists of both outdoor and indoor conditions in a construction environment, with exposure to varying temperatures.

§   

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.

§   

Constantly inspects job site to detect safety concerns and identify proper tools and equipment.

§   

Constantly moves about the jobsite, positioning self to access high and low areas.

§   

Frequently ascends and descends stairs and ladders and commercial lifts.

§   

Frequently communicates with Job Foreman and other staff.

§   

Frequently required to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

§
