Job Description

Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa is under new management looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Guest Service Representative to join our professional family. We are located on 29 acres in Stowe, Vermont. We have 32 townhouses and 120 room Inn. We are one of the largest Conference Centers in New England with 17 meeting rooms and 25,000 sq ft of meeting space.

The Guest Service Representative at the Stoweflake Resort and Spa serves as the first point of contact for guests and manages all aspects of their accommodation. Guest Service Representative responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates, and amenities.

As a Guest Service Representative you will provide exceptional service, help daily operations run smoothly, and act as the key communication between all departments. This role is for someone who truly enjoys creating a fun and memorable experience for our guests and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and complete the check-in process using our PMS system
  • Confirm guest information and input any missing info, selection of room, code electronic keys
  • Provide information to guests about hotel amenities & local area
  • Assist guests with check-out
  • Ensure rooms and services are correctly accounted for and billed correctly
  • Handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting various forms of payment, and processing gift certificates
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel information including room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area, and other general product knowledge
  • Answer and manage phone calls in a timely manner, managing multiple tasks at once
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner

Requirements:

  • Must possess strong computer skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, Professional, and dependable demeanor
  • Front desk experience is preferred, but will train the right person
  • Highly motivated and a “go getter” with a can-do attitude and hands-on approach
  • Exceptional customer service skills required
  • Ability to move, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays and varied shifts as needed.
