DMH Quality and Program Participant Specialist

at State of Vermont in Waterbury, Vermont, United States

Job Description

Overview

Do you have clinical skills and/or training but need a break from direct service? Quality team at the Department of Mental Health is hiring! We are a small but mighty team of five, with oversight of community mental health centers and inpatient psychiatric units in the state. We have a mix of long-term projects on planned timelines and processing of information ad hoc, such as grievances and critical incident reports. We value the mindset that individuals, our work, and broader systems are currently strong, and have the capacity to improve. We are seeking an individual who wants to do a mix of self-directed and team-based work. This will involve leading our clinical chart review process, so a Masters in a Mental Health field is required, and a license is preferred. Travel quarterly to various locations in the state may be expected.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed both in a standard office setting and in the field for which private means of transportation should be available. Incumbents are subject to a variety of stressful situations while evaluating and improving support services for people with lived experience. Work also involves regular interaction with providers and departmental leadership. Some work outside of normal office hours may be required.
