Overview

The Chief Marketing Office seeks an energetic and creative Marketing Strategy and Creative Services Manager. The position assists with providing enterprise-wide accessible communication resources and training, as well as project-based marketing, design and communications solutions. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and creative thinking skills, including the ability to connect with a diverse mix of people and organizations, non-marketing and marketing staff, consultants, and vendors through a variety of channels. 


The position works in close partnership with the Chief Marketing Officer. Duties include serving as the day-to-day brand manager for State of Vermont Brand Standards, assisting in establishing enterprise-wide strategic communications guidance and policies, leading creative services projects, providing marketing contracting and procurement support, and developing enterprise-wide accessible communication resources. 


Candidate must have in-depth and extensive knowledge of graphic design principles and design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint). Preferred skills and experience also include accessible design, developing accessible communications, and web design and web content management systems. Experience with social media management and content development is a plus.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed on a hybrid work schedule in a standard office setting or remotely. Light in-state travel to other State offices, facilities, and vendors may be anticipated. Private means of transportation must be available. Excellent coordination and communication skills are required.
