Job Title: Assistant Electrician
Location: Vermont
Job Type: Full-Time
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable new team member to join our team and work directly under a Vermont Master Licensed Electrician. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with some prior experience in electrical or construction work who is eager to expand their skills and pursue a career in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Master Electrician with installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Pull wire, install conduit, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, panels, and other electrical components.
- Prepare parts order lists.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to Vermont electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Support project preparation, material handling, and job site cleanup.
Qualifications:
- Some relevant experience in electrical or construction work required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality and positive attitude.
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn the electrical trade.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a licensed Master Electrician.
- Familiarity and mechanical aptitude/ability to work with basic power hand tools safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or technical training a plus).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoors, outdoors, attics, crawl spaces).
Preferred:
- Previous employment with an electrical contractor or in a construction setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience ($20-$27)
