Job Description
OverviewThe DCF Grants and Contracts Unit comprises twenty-one staff working closely with internal and external partners to support DCF's initiatives. This position should have an understanding of the life cycle of an agreement, which may include a grant, contract, memorandum of understanding, and statement of work, for example. Applicants should have experience with and/or working knowledge of Uniform Guidance, the Agency of Administration's Bulletins 3.5 and 5, VISION with regards to purchase orders and query. Your cover letter should outline your experience with the Agency Bulletins, VISION, and your optimal work environment.
This is a Monday through Friday position based out of the Waterbury State Complex with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule of in-office and telework.
Duties are performed primarily in a standard office environment as well as in the field, for which private means of transportation must be available. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary. Considerable tact and diplomacy will be required for effective performance. Extensive interaction with a broad range of community groups, service providers, advocacy groups, and other state and federal agencies will occur. Stress may be encountered from deadlines and from operating in a highly publicized and public setting.
