Based in Derby Line, VT, we are seeking a hands-on and strategic Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality systems and elevate our manufacturing excellence. Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the quality control processes, including developing and implementing quality measures, reviewing production processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role includes managing audits, documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality products and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and Manage Quality Systems
- Provide leadership and direction for the Quality Assurance Department.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Manages inspection personnel responsible for conducting final quality checks.
- Drive Continuous Improvement
- Champion lean initiatives and root cause analysis to reduce defects and improve processes.
- Lead and report on quarterly Management Review Meetings and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor, Train, and Report
- Train and mentor employees on quality standards, tools, and procedures.
- Track, maintain, and report key quality metrics and issue Quality Alerts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, audit findings, and quality trends.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 implementation.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt preferred).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
