Position: Orchard Store Staff - Weekday
Work days: Monday - Friday
Hours: Monday 10am -5:30pm, or 12pm - 5:30, and Tues-Fri 8:30am - 5:30pm or 10am - 5:30pm.
Start day: 9/6
Ending day: exact date unknown, sometime in late October.
Prerequisites: Experience in customer service and POS systems is a plus. Being able to lift 40lb apple boxes a few times throughout the day to restock apples.
Description: During the weekday you will be the face of the business. When it is busy you will be answering phone calls, weighing people's apples and checking people out at the register, giving directions to the pick-your-own sections, answering questions, restocking apples, cider, donuts and other store goodies, bagging and selling donuts, filling cider cups, etc. When it is not busy you will have a list of small jobs including cleaning the store and storage building, restocking, pricing, labeling, etc. The early start shift has to open the store, set up the apples and other items in the store and set up the register before opening at 9am.

Description: During the weekend we get thousands of people coming through the orchard, and all of them have to end up paying at the orchard store before they leave unless they have bought nothing. So, it can get busy. We will have up to 5 registers running at a time and so you as a weekend store employee will mostly be standing at a register, asking folks to weigh their apples, handing them donuts and cider if they want it, and checking them out with anything else they’ve found at the store. You’re on your feet all day and must be good at multitasking and handling both happy and tired customers with kindness. You will occasionally swap out to restock apples, cider, donuts and anything else that needs restocking in the store. We use a square point of sale system as our register, so any experience with this is a plus but not a requirement.
