Job Description

Our Batteries Plus location is not what you call a high traffic retail store. We service customer will all sorts of battery, lighting, cellular and household power needs. Some of the things we do for our customers and to keep our store running soothingly may include; battery testing, battery changes in anything from watches to vehicles, basic housekeeping of the store, cashier and computer usage, cell phone repairs, vehicle key cutting, among other things.  The ideal candidate would be someone with some previous retail experience but we are willing to train the right person. Employee must be motivated and be able to work alone or with others, take constructive criticism and excel from it. The position does require some lifting as we regularly stock, sell and install vehicle batteries. Any small engine or automotive experience is helpful but not required, as is small electronic repairs. Candidate must be able to take direction and responsibilities of their own actions and know when to ask for help! ​

Stock shelves, dust, sweep, mop, clean restrooms, learn product and uses, assist customers with items and needs, offer suggestions and sales offers, complete a register transaction, handle money, open/close store. 

This position has the opportunity for a full 35-40 hour work week to the right candidate. We would love to expand the position as a split position with some in store hours and some off site commercial sales. That part of the position would ultimately be traveling to local business (in a company vehicle) and inquire about any products we sell that the business may benefit from such as batteries, exit or interior lighting, etc. 

The store operates Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. We are closed on all major holidays and have shortened hours on some others.
