Posting Summary
The Center for Health and Wellbeing (CHWB) at the University of Vermont brings together Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychiatry Services, and Health Promotion and Student Engagement to support the holistic health of the campus community. The Assistant Director for Health & Wellbeing Analytics plays a key role on the CHWB leadership team and reports directly to the Executive Director. This position provides strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and oversight of data-informed initiatives that evaluate and enhance the impact of health and wellbeing programs for students. The Assistant Director is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive analytics and assessment strategy, with a focus on tracking service utilization, evaluating program outcomes, and conducting longitudinal analyses of student health behaviors and wellbeing indicators. This position requires proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and a demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights that support evidence-based planning and decision-making. The Assistant Director works closely with directors across CHWB to co-develop strategic plans, implement assessment frameworks, and generate regular outcome reports. Serving as a central resource for student wellbeing data, the Assistant Director regularly synthesizes and presents findings to campus stakeholders, including university leadership, academic departments, and student affairs teams. Where appropriate, the Assistant Director also partners with the Office of Institutional Research and UVM faculty on data collection. This is a dynamic opportunity for a collaborative and data-informed professional who is passionate about improving student health outcomes through rigorous assessment, inclusive practices, and innovative strategies to meet students where they are at to improve health, wellbeing, and retention at UVM.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor's degree in statistics, data analytics, or related field and five to six years of demonstrated experience and proficiency in the design of research projects including, but not limited to data collection, analysis, and presentation. Proficiency with data analysis software (SAS, SPSS or similar) and data management software (MS Access or Excel) is required. Requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team environment. Must be capable of meeting deadlines and work within a quickly changing environment. Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods required. Knowledge of strategic planning concepts required. Must demonstrate capacity to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive wellbeing data.

Desirable Qualifications
Masters or PhD preferred. Background in health-related assessment areas strongly preferred. Experience working within college-age population preferred. Experience with Tableau or data presentation/translation software is preferred.

Anticipated Pay Range
$72,000-$82,000
