Job Description
OverviewThe AHS Field Services Division is part of the Healthcare Reform Division of the AHS Central Office team. Field Directors represent the AHS Secretary in the field; and provide leadership and guidance to support a broad range of complex human services programs to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services. The Field Services Directors act as a resource to and collaborate with each other, AHS Central office and district staff, municipal leaders and community partners to promote the Agency's mission, vision and values at the local level. Working in the field in communities enables Field Directors to understand the unique needs and cultures of Vermont's communities and utilize this and their Agency knowledge to inform local and systems-level change. Each Field Director covers at least two Districts. This position will serve the Barre and Hartford regions of the state and may provide coverage to other areas of the State as needed. We are seeking a strong leader with clinical expertise in implementation of team based care systems and clinical supervisory experience in human services.
Environmental FactorsDuties are performed primarily in a standard office setting, but with the need for extensive travel, for which private means of transportation must be available. Attendance at a variety of regional, department, agency and multi-group conferences may be anticipated, some involving a leadership or chairperson role. Night and evening meetings may be anticipated involving individuals from several disciplines and advocacy groups. Employee and client situations with significant stress and emotional overtones are predictable.
