Neuroimaging Researcher/Analyst
Posting Summary
Seeking a highly motivated researcher to investigate the impact of screen time-including social media use, video gaming, texting, and television viewing-on brain function, mental health, and behavior using the large-scale Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) dataset. Works in close collaboration with Principal and Co-Investigators in Psychiatry to advance the research objectives of the group and achieve the aims of this NIH R01 award.
Key responsibilities include conducting advanced statistical and computational analyses on neuroimaging, mental health, and behavioral datasets, applying machine learning techniques, and contributing to scientific writing for publications and grant reporting. The successful candidate will play an integral role in designing experiments, ensuring data integrity, and engaging with a multidisciplinary team of neuroscientists, psychologists, and medical professionals.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Master's degree in neuroimaging or related discipline required.
Three to five years' experience with neuroimaging analysis software (FSL, SPM, or Afni) and relevant statistical analysis approaches.
Experience with programming languages Matlab, R and/or Python.
Experience with big data analysis.
Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or Open Office.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in related field such as biostatistics, complex systems, neuroscience, biomedical engineering or medical areas.Advanced data management and analytic skills.Experience developing scientific reports and publications
Anticipated Pay Range
$65,000 - $80,000

Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
