OverviewThe Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is looking for an experienced Financial Administrator to join our business office team. The business office supports the financial operations of the agency through budget development and monitoring, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, purchasing, vendor management and related operational functions of ADS. Our mission is to work together with our partners in state government to deliver simple and intuitive technology solutions that improve the lives of the citizens of Vermont. Our vision is to make government services secure and easily accessible to all people doing business and interacting with the State of Vermont.
As a Financial Administrator I, your duties will include:
- Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable functions (routing of invoices for approval, invoice processing, posting of wire payments)
- Coordination with vendors and purchasing agents
- Providing back-up support to other business office functions as needed
- Utilizing Vision, the State's Peoplesoft based financial management system
You'll work with a small team of finance and accounting professionals and will collaborate with other agency/department business offices and ADS staff. We are seeking candidates with a background in accounting and/or finance and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, but additional years of work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree may be qualifying.
This position will work full-time through August.
A fingerprint-supported background check may be required based on the assigned job duties and location.
As of July 14, 2025, the step 1 rate for pay grade 22 will be $25.98 per hour.
