Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Small Engine Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engines, including those found in lawn mowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power equipment including ATVs, snowmobiles SXSs and motorcycles. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for working with machinery.

Duties

Diagnose mechanical issues in small engines and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and spark plug inspections.
Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
Conduct performance tests on repaired engines to ensure proper functionality.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Utilize an ohmmeter to test electrical components and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients.
Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience

Previous experience as a Small Engine Technician or in a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with various small engine types and their components is essential.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, including an ohmmeter, is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
