Shared Living Provider Opportunity – Rutland County, VT

Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life from the comfort of your home? We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Shared Living Provider (SLP) in Rutland County, Vermont, with an available in-law apartment to support a friendly, independent adult male receiving Developmental Services.

About the Individual:

The individual is 30yr male that is a thoughtful and engaging person, who enjoys watching movies, reading, listening to music, and anything related to ‘Barney & Friends’. He values having quiet personal space but also enjoys conversation and interaction. He currently works two days per week with our agency staff providing transportation to and from work. He would benefit from a supportive home environment where he can continue to live as independently as possible with light daily support.

Support Needs Include:

• Medication reminders

• Meal planning and preparation support

• Transportation and assistance with attending medical appointments including individual therapy appointments

• Being available to answer general daily questions

• Encouragement and structure to maintain a consistent routine and healthy lifestyle

Ideal Provider:

• Has an in-law apartment or separate living space attached to their home

• Can provide a safe, stable, and welcoming home

• Is dependable, patient, and promotes independence while offering supportive guidance

• Is able to assist with transportation to work and medical appointments, as needed

• Willing to collaborate with a team of professionals and participate in planning meetings

• Experience in caregiving, human services, or healthcare is helpful but not required

Compensation:

• Tax-free stipend of $60,000

• Room & board reimbursement

• Ongoing training, team support, and care coordinator provided
