Job Description
Taconic, a global leader in the manufacturing of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tapes has as Engineering Technician position available in our Corporate Office in Petersburgh, NY. Responsibilities include coating and testing candidate materials. May also write reports summarizing test results. Communicates the results of experiments to the engineering staff. May support production by advising how to solve problems.
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience. Three years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred. Must have strong writing skills with the ability to compose Engineering reports using MS Word and Excel. Must have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships with managers and production operators. Should have the capability to solve problems using scientific methods. Ability to work independently and as a team member in completing daily tasks and assignments.
