Job Description
Lead Software Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Burlington, VT). Manage projects and project teams to design, develop, maintain, test, and document complex and technically challenging web-based applications across major program/product areas to enhance the performance and reliability of current applications. Define product requirements, including capabilities and features, to ensure technical consistency and quality across the company’s functional applications. Allocate resources and define project objectives for development of solutions to within predictable variances, with little to no oversight, and lead cost/benefit analysis, making recommendations for major project changes to senior Engineering and Product leaders. Establish secure coding practices and tools, recommending and driving improvements to enhance solution design and address critical issues, as needed. Lead the definition of performance metrics to improve quality, cycle time, and reliability of application solutions. Manage troubleshooting, ongoing technical support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products. Define system alterations and designs for software engineering team. Provide technical and procedural guidance to less experienced software engineers and stakeholders.
