Intel is seeking a Senior Director of AI Market Development to build the next-generation software/AI-defined data center and grow our AI Business. This position will lead a team of deep domain experts in cloud and AI technologies responsible for defining and prioritizing product roadmap and strategy, building early pilot programs and deploying effective and targeted go to market activities. The leader will pursue these challenges as a cloud and data science thought leader in Intel’s Datacenter and AI organization. They will influence business and technical strategies to help us solidify Intel’s top spot in cloud and AI and continue our quest to revolutionize the future of cloud-based AI-enabled products across multiple industries such as autonomous vehicles and personalized medicine.

This role will work collaboratively with product leadership, research, engineering, business development, product marketing and other teams to strategically design and execute initiatives, both directly and through strategic partners. The ideal candidate will have experience building cloud-based AI-driven products across multiple verticals and driving transformational change for cloud-based technology products and services. The right candidate will have a combination of creativity and analytical skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. The successful candidate will be a broad leader – part market maker, part operator, and part evangelist. This leader will build a strategy focused on winning new customer segments and growing existing customer segments for the long term. The candidate will have the technical depth and business experience to easily communicate the benefits of cloud and AI services, platforms and frameworks to architects, engineering teams, and C-Level executives. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses. Finally the candidate will have experience managing high performing teams, ideally with global responsibility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Deliver strategic and novel cloud-based data science products that help accelerate Intel’s vision for Cloud and AI growth, and guide ongoing product development.

Drive AI cloud platform adoption worldwide while working with a world class engineering team to ensure we have the best possible products and services for our customers.

Grow and expand the market opportunities with an eye toward diverse and forward-pushing technologies that span machine learning methods, data engineering, experimentation, and analytics.

Instill an inclusive team culture that is innovative and collaborative.

Lead strong partnerships with Intel’s product management, engineering, design, business development, and marketing teams.

Enable the development of AI systems that seek to improve business productivity, autonomy, and safety.

Translate cloud-based machine learning technologies to business value across multiple verticals (e.g. Deep Learning models for Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing).

Drive Cloud and AI technologies as a mechanism for enabling digital transformation in enterprise customers.

Serve as an evangelist for cloud-based AI/ML services within Intel, and externally;

Bring various stakeholders together to help build collective mindshare in augmenting Intel’s Cloud and AI services

Additional Skills:

Proactive and passionate about organizational health topics including inclusion and diversity, growth and development of ICs and people leaders, and functional excellence.

Skilled at operating in a complex, cross-functional organization where your teams need to collaborate and integrate with other teams across many disciplines.

Exceptional communication skills, articulate with both technical and business partners, create effective frameworks to aid the discussion of complicated technical topics.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field with 15+ years of experience

8+ years of experience in applied data science and distributed computing, spanning some or all of statistics, experimentation, machine learning, optimization techniques, and data engineering and architecture.

5+ years of experience building and leading large and geographically distributed data science product teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical experience with one or more of the following Cloud and AI technologies:

Cloud-native architectures (Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless)

DataOps, MLOps (Kubeflow, Ray)

Tightly-coupled and Loosely-coupled HPC frameworks

Deep Learning, ML Frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)

Physics-based hybrid models (Physics-informed Neural Networks, Digital Twins)

Probabilistic Modeling (Bayesian modeling, Graphical models),

Global optimization

Non-linear estimation techniques

Time series forecasting

Scaling on distributed CPU and accelerated compute architectures

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $250,500.00-$400,780.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
