ASPIRE Registered Nurse Residency Program

NMC is currently recruiting for our ASPIRE RN Residency Program. We have 14 slots to fill! These positions are full-time (72 hours bi-weekly) position, training generally occurs day shift and then the position morphs into a night shift position (hours are generally 7p-7a, every other weekend aside from the OR, which has hours between 6a and 5p and is usually an 80 hour bi-weekly schedule). Opportunities available in the Operating Room, Family Birth Center, Emergency Department, and Med Surg in the Progressive Care Unit. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM: Throughout the year-long program, there will be didactic training, hands-on training, and there will be monthly meetings with cohort and Clinical Education. The first couple of weeks include didactic training, Mon-Fri. Followed by training on the floor with a preceptor generally on day shift (12-hour shifts). Then RN’s transition to a full-time night shift position (7p-7a, every other weekend). JOB SUMMARY: The RN plans and implements care for patients according to established policies and procedures while providing direct patient care for adult patients under a wide variety of circumstances.
