Job Description
MACHINE OPERATOR
Full or Part-time - Day Shift - Flexible Hours
Responsibilities:
Accurately input/retrieve product information on computer operated system (PC) used for print package printing
Accurately place product into machine cups for packaging.
Perform necessary film or ribbon changes.
Perform minor adjustments to ensure proper package alignments and print quality.
Accurately place product into machine flights for bagging
Utilizes computer operated systems (PC and machine control pad) for printing and machine operation
Proficient in operating the hand load bagger and/or the infeed conveyor to obtain optimum productivity
Responsible for operating equipment at optimum productivity levels.
Responsible for strict adherence to all Safe Operating Practices in relation to machine operations and personal safety and prevention (i.e., hearing protection).
Maintain quality by performing spot checks at various checkpoints in the packaging process, including quality checkpoints before the start of a machine run, periodically through the run to ensure proper printing/alignment and package sealing, and at finished product stage for overall package quality, (i.e., coin placement, coin information accuracy, bar-code readability, and packaging materials).
Remove finished product from the machine into appropriately sized boxes/trays and onto a cart or buckhorn container for delivery to Outbound Fulfillment
Maintains an accurate and timely log sheet of all maintenance and troubleshooting in the Maintenance/Problem Logbook.
Accurately records all work performed using department production and workload reporting system (PC based).
Cross train on other machines as a back-up when needed.
Perform Assembly clerk duties when machine is not in operation (i.e., manually assemble product into various packaging).
Assist other departments as required.
