Job Description
+ COMPETITIVE SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS
+ $4.00 – 2nd Shift
+ $7.00 – 3rd Shift
+ $4.50 – Weekend
Under supervision of a radiologist and direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, competently performs imaging on a 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging scanner. Responsible for scanning and preparing images for review per protocols in MRI. Must have the ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy, perform MRI’s and inject contrast media where applicable. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.Minimum Education
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
Minimum Work Experience
+ Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
+ Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
+ MRI certified by ARRT (or must become certified within first year of employment)
+ BLS Certification through American Heart Association
+ Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two year period, for re-certification and licensure
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
+ Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
+ Strong communication skills in order to effectively relay information both up and down the chain of command.
+ Ability to plan, organize, set goals and objectives for review and evaluation.
+ Knowledge of state and federal health safety laws and TJC Standards.
+ Ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy.
+ Ability to establish access to vein for purpose of giving IV contrast.
+ Knowledge of basic medical equipment (i.e. O2 Tank, pulse oximeter, EKG machines, etc.).
+ Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
