In a manufacturing environment, manages the day to day tactical as well as the long-range strategic planning process for operations by overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations, including manufacturing itself, production control, manufacturing efficiency and productivity, facilities, quality, manufacturing engineering, inventory control, purchasing, and shipping/receiving activities. Oversees activities related to the Master Production Schedule, MRP, the use of SAP, material control, inventory control, cost reductions, lead-times, scheduling, forecasting (internally and to our suppliers). Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well coordinating global procurement efforts. Coordinate all facilities related activities. Defines goals, improves technologies, and resolves problems in conjunction with managers of manufacturing, materials, engineering, product line management, and sales. Translates customer requirements into manufacturing and supply chain strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products. Develops operations-related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures. Maintains safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Works closely with other managers to insure consistency in resource allocation, policy application, workplace initiatives, and management practices.
+ Creates and publishes metrics and goals to measure and improve quality, material cost, inventory management, lead-time, productivity, scrap, on-time delivery, repair turn-around time, and expense control.
+ Educates others on the use of effective troubleshooting techniques and continuous improvement methodology and encourages the use of these tools to address manufacturing problems. Implements comprehensive training requirements to certify employees for all production activities.
+ Establishes workmanship guidelines for all production personnel. Ensures compliance to all guidelines, standards, procedures, and work rules. Communicates performance and conduct expectations and formally assesses performance through timely periodic performance reviews. Assists employees in developing skills and correcting performance issues. Effective use of the company’s disciplinary procedure when required.
+ Responsible for selecting and on-boarding new employees as required by business need. Actively promotes FUJIFILM Dimatix’s safety rules; utilizes Personal Protective Equipment and works to correct safety and environmental hazards.
+ Responsible for Cost Reduction, Lead time optimization, Inventory (both accuracy and optimized levels) as well On-Time Delivery (OTD).
+ Creates and maintains the company’s Master Production Schedule. Proposes and coordinates changes in schedule and maintains current customer order requirements.
+ Ongoing monitoring and management of the Backlog, Proposed, and To Be Proposed workload and its impact on Production and Materials.
+ Responsible for the overall levels of inventory and the identification and disposition of all excess and obsolete inventory.
+ Is responsible for maintaining accurate stockroom inventory records and the routine cycle count program that monitors inventory record accuracy. Responsible for coordination of physical inventories.
+ Ensure optimized and continual improvement with scheduling functions implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques (Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) as business demands dictate.
+ Regularly communicate with cross functional departments the status of schedules to stay aligned and coordinated.
+ Manages all elements of FIIS quality.
+ Plans and implements activities related to the procurement of facilities and equipment.
+ Support the negotiation of major contracts involving large dollar amounts.
+ Support the compliance with Contract Administration Policy.
+ Monitors the cost, schedule and performance aspects of major subcontracts and outsourcing efforts.
+ Responsible for Production Supervisors, Leads, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Supply Chain personnel. Heavy influencer of IT, and Outsourcing resources as applicable.

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related experience & 10 or more years of related experience.
+ Technical background in areas of electromechanical systems & prototype & production capital equipment.
+ Responsible for ensuring product deliverables and specifications are met.
+ Responsible for the quality of internal production, suppliers, and Products released to the field.
+ Advanced problem-solving skills utilizing science & engineering education to arrive at practical solutions.
