Job Summary
+ This Managing Director role is integral member of our Digital Advisory team responsible for the management of existing and new consulting services in their assigned area of the firm’s business
+ Identify, sell and create innovative offerings and supporting solutions to specific target problems that address market needs of critical infrastructure, connected enterprise, capital deployment or progressive next-generation energy solutions, for utilities and commercial and Industrial clients
+ Utilizes deep industry knowledge and expertise to identify challenges within the market and develop our offering strategy and value proposition to respond to those challenges
+ Support the BVMC Industry teams as well as collaborating with other B&V organizations in the pursuit of key business opportunities as needed
+ Focus of this position is on Utility Operating center and grid modernization technologies – specifically ADMS, DERMS, DR, SCADA, DA.
+ Serving as a Subject Matter Expert supporting business development, offering and solution development, client engagement and project delivery.
+ Working as part of a team to identify specific offering elements and market niches and developing approach and leading execution of new offerings in this domain.
+ Developing market partnerships – opportunistic and strategic – with systems vendors, integrators, etc. to expand capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develops and maintains key client relations at the C-suite and Senior Executive level
+ Collaborates with Sales and Consulting Services for execution effectiveness and client satisfaction
+ Drives early stage project scoping/shaping in alignment with the practice’s vision for expansion
+ Manages the evolution and growth of existing offerings
+ Leads the development of new offerings and solutions
+ Supports the creation of and strengthens profitable relationships with our clients
+ Supports or leads business development opportunities with existing and new clients
+ Leads client solution development and engagements as needed
+ Building and coaching a high-performing team

Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering
+ MS or MBA
+ 10 years of applicable experience in one or more of the following areas:
+ Demonstrated capability in areas of entrepreneurship, strategy and innovation
+ Understand the financial drivers and possess the business acumen to forecast, manage, and operate a significant technology-based business
+ Skilled in constructing a deal win strategy, financial structure, and negotiate multi-year, Statements of Work including terms, risk mitigation, pricing, and payment terms
+ Experience building a successful and sustainable consulting practice
+ Excellent communication presentation, and social engineering skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 12 years of energy and utility industry management consulting experience including investment, infrastructure, and large commercial enterprises
+ 8 years of Utility Operational Technology experience including solution development and architecting, implementation and strategy/road mapping – ADMS, DMS, DERMS, DR, SCADA, DA and associated systems
+ Demonstrable success in building and growing a consulting offering portfolio
+ Demonstrable experience directing the full client engagement lifecycle for a large, global or international firm, (proposal through delivery and project expansion)
+ Ability to travel up to 50%
