As a Civil Lead Underground Transmission Line Engineer, will perform as a Technical Specialist within the Global Transmission Business Team.Varied and interesting responsibilities include: conceptual and detail engineering/design, and provide technical support on planning, permitting, procurement, and construction/installation of 69kV and above, underground and underwater transmission projects. Will prepare a variety ofengineering deliverables for larger or multiple projects;Develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.Prepare complex engineering calculations.Manage budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Mentor and provide technical guidance overengineering staff.
This Civil Lead positioncan be remote.

+ Feasibility study (route selection, cable technology evaluation, EMF study, constructability study, cost estimate)
+ Civil duct bank and raceway design
+ Trenchless (J&B and HDD) design
+ Construction detaildesign and development
+ Cable system design
+ Technical specification development
+ Provide technical support during procurement and construction/installation
+ Actively coordinate with other internal/external team members on projects
+ Communicate client interests and drivers to project team members and develop approaches to accommodate concerns in performance of the work. Typically provides support to BD activities
+ Actively foster knowledge management and provide mentoring. May participate in career planning, and learning and development of junior engineers

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited degree program.
Minimum of 8 years related experience
